Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)

A very cool video fom Rae & Legend! They sang this song at Live Earth, in Wembley Stadium, London, England couple years ago. Actually, I know this one’s sung by Robert Palmer, and apparently it’s the cover version from “Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)“, the second single from Marvin Gaye’s 1971 album, What’s Going On. Surprisingly, this song was created in the year where there’s no global warming issue. YET. So, behold audience.. for I’m gonna give you the powerful lyrics of this song!

PS: Thanks Galih for giving me this awesome video! :D
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain’t what they used to be
No, no
Where did all the blue sky go?
Poison is the wind that blows
From the north, east, south, and sea
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain’t what they used to be
No, no
Oil wasted on the oceans and upon our seas
Fish full of mercury
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain’t what they used to be
No, no
Radiation in the ground and in the sky
Animals and birds who live nearby are dying
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain’t what they used to be
What about this overcrowded land?
How much more abuse from man can you stand?
My sweet Lord
My sweet Lord
My sweet Lord
